Web Developer Joe Carey Joins VanNoppen Marketing
Morganton, NC (PRWEB) October 20, 2007 -- Responding the growing demand for complex and compelling web sites Morganton-based VanNoppen Marketing recently hired Joe Carey as its Director of Web and Internet Development. He will oversee and manage all web and internet based projects.
Carey brings with him over 10 years of experience designing web sites. His skills in graphic design combined with his knowledge of web site usability and search engine optimization enable him to create web sites that are attractive and functional.
In particular, his proficient knowledge of DHTML, Javascript and Flash allow VanNoppen Marketing to provide clients with interactive web sites that capture a visitor's attention and create interest.
Like all members of the VNM team, Carey owned and operated his own business before joining VanNoppen Marketing. For nearly six years his firm, Atomic Lemon Web Development, assisted dozens of local businesses with web development projects.
Most recently, Carey was the Web Coordinator with Drexel Heritage Furniture Inc.
"My philosophy is that a web site has to do more than just look great." Carey said. "It needs to be interactive and provide information about the business in an organized and easily navigated manner."
"On today's Internet, the competition can be tough," Carey said. "So optimizing a Web site to rank well on the search engines is an important task that should be an integral part of the design process. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an art that I enjoy. Watching a client's Web site come up at the top of search engine results because of my work is very rewarding."
"We're delighted Joe has joined our team," VanNoppen said. "I've admired his work since I was introduced to him in 1991. His business was successful, his clients were delighted and his approach to client satisfaction mirrors our own.
Previously, VanNoppen Marketing's web projects were managed by graphic and web designer Kara Jones. Carey's addition to the team allows Jones to focus her attention on the firm's growing need for client-driven strategic media buying and advertising print design.
"Web development and eBlast projects represent one of the fast-growing segments of our business," VanNoppen said. "Our web sites must reflect the latest developments in web programming, graphic features, search engine visibility, ease of use and be extraordinarily powerful communication mechanisms.
"Permission-based eBlast communications represent one of the most cost-effective and measurable means of reaching customers, and Joe's expertise in this field will be of enormous value to our clients," he said.
VanNoppen Marketing, founded in 2001, is a full-service marketing and advertising agency that works with businesses throughout western North Carolina.
